Quick Swatch – Rainbow Honey Mystery Bag November 2014

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, whether you celebrated a holiday or not. I was travelling and eating and hanging out with family, so I took a computer break. I have so much to catch up on! This is just a quick swatch of the two mystery bag colors and the special limited edition color of the month from Rainbow Honey’s November mystery bag.

Rainbow Honey is an indie nail brand that produces a lot of glitter toppers, but also full coverage colors, scented top coats, cuticle balms, and other beauty products. They have a mystery bag with three polish items and a few other goodies each month. The smaller size bag (enough for two or three manicures with each bottle of polish) is $10 USD and the larger size (15mL) is $25. Orders from Rainbow Honey tend to take a little while to process, but shipping itself has been relatively quick. If you spend $50 in their store you get the monthly limited edition polish free, and if you spend $65 you get that and a small mystery bag free.

Wildberries is the featured color for November. It’s a glitter topper filled with dark reds, purples, and blues in a clear base. It’s a pretty color that I think looks nicer on a dark base. I totally got it all over my cuticle in this photo, which is one of the things that I dislike about glitter toppers. I feel like they get everywhere, especially when I’m trying to remove them. But I’m a sucker for sparkles.

Aurora is from the mystery bag, and it’s a greenish silver foil-like fine glitter. You can use this as a topper or a full coverage color depending on how many coats you put on. I think it’s perfectly named, as this color captures the green luminescence of the Northern Lights.

Greyscale is a lovely stone grey with silver sparkle. I love a dark grey for winter; it’s neutral, strong, and not as harsh as pure black. This one has the silver glitter for added interest and to give the polish depth. You can see how all my nails broke between taking the first two pictures in the morning and the last picture in the evening. Ugh. Oh well.
