Mani: Nails that Shine Like Justice

I’ve had that Cake song “Short Skirt, Long Jacket” stuck in my head since getting a bunch of polishes from new-to-me brand Powder Perfect. It’s an Australian indie that seems to specialize in sparkle. Today I’m attending a superhero themed kids’ birthday party, so I chose a color that went with my Wonder Woman t-shirt and gave me the superpower of bling.

Powder Perfect Storm Rainbow is a graphite base packed with scattered holographic and silver glitter. The sparkle in the sunlight is INSANE. It dries semi-matte, like a Zoya PixieDust, but I put a coat of Seche Vite on top to smooth it out and amplify the shine.

Here it is with indoor light.

And here’s an out of focus shot in sunlight so you can see the amazing sparkle power.

The formula was a little chunky, like the PixieDust formula, but incredibly forgiving and easy to work with. I got full coverage in two coats and it dried quickly even before I put top coat on.

I got this polish in a closeout sale at LiveLovePolish. You can purchase from them or from Powder Perfect directly, but I think this particular color is out of stock right now at LLP.

I feel like I could stop crime with these nails, or at least traffic! What do you think?
