Apple Mojito ingredients (from chasingdelicious.com)
3 oz. (90 ml) club soda
.5 oz. (15 ml) lime juice
10 mint leaves muddled with ¼ tspn. sugar
2.5 oz. (75 ml) light rum
2.5 oz. (75 ml) apple juice reduction
You know what’s not in there? Lemons.
The Silver Nail suggested that Memebox had a linguistic brain blip, since lime in many Romance languages is limon. But still. Nobody on the curation team thought to check that out? Ha! Who am I kidding, there isn’t a curation team at Memebox. Just a guy tossing products in a box.
Whatever, I really liked this box. Great products for the most part, even though there are better ones more suited to the theme (like an APPLE MOJITO TONER) out there. Or mint, which is what makes the drink a mojito.
Ernesti Apple & Honey Shea Butter Hand Cream (50g)
The heavily nourishing honey and vitamin-rich apple formula of this hand cream works to moisturize, purify, and firm up dry hands.
So many people love this hand cream. It smells like apple heaven, and goes on smoothly with no greasy feeling. It moisturizes really well. I have tons of hand creams (last time I got a professional manicure, the stylist was amazed at how soft my hands are) because I get an allergic reaction along the webbing between my fingers that itches like crazy. But althought I have enough hand creams to open my own shop, this Ernesti one is heading to the top of the use list.
Verdict: five mojitos: drunk!
Apple mojito? Apples, yes.
A.H.C. Climax Foam Cleanser (180mL)
Formulated from soda water, coconut, and glucose components, this mild facial cleanser with abundant foams is rich in various nutrients. It’s creamy in texture and leaves skin moist and supple after use. Recommended for all skin types.
What is with the name of this cleanser? I’m not sure I’m up to putting anything called climax on my face first thing in the morning. That’s about all I can say, here — it’s a foaming cleanser, and it does its job.
Verdict: three and a half mojitos: tipsy enough to forget to wash my face.
Apple mojito? Uh, soda water, I guess.
Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm (06 Lemon Cupcake)
Moisturize and refresh chapped lips with lemon-scented tinted balm that adds a natural pink flush and suppleness.
I kind of like the gimmick of color-changing balm that looks one color and goes on a different color. But I hate pot balms (they get under my nails during application) and I hate this packaging. Where can I slip this that it won’t pop open (in my purse) or create a big lump (in my pocket)?
Verdict: one mojito: I can still drive home.
Apple mojito? Nope, nada.
Purederm Skin Turn-Over Lemon Peeling Toner (170mL)
Enriched with AHA, lemon extracts, witch hazel water, and portulaca extracts, it helps soothe and de-stress skin and facilitates skin turnover by removing dead cells and smoothing out uneven texture. Wet a cotton pad in the formula and gently wipe over cleansed face.
Oooh, I love toners with witch hazel in them, because it’s a natural antibacterial astringent. I stopped using witch hazel when I started my Korean skincare routine eight months ago, but I shouldn’t have. It really makes a difference in keeping my skin clear. This packaging is like the Windex pump-up bottles (or the Zoya Remove bottles): you hold a cotton pad over the top well and pump once to soak it with product, which is really useful when I’m brushing my teeth with the other hand. I can see residue on the pad when I use this, even on a freshly washed face, so it makes me feel like it’s removing that last bit of dirt or makeup on my skin. It smells brightly of lemon and tightens up my skin.
Verdict: five mojitos! So drunk!
Apple mojito? No, but who cares at this point?
Tonymoly Red Apple Tox Honey Cream (80mL)
Made from vitamin-rich apple and deeply nourishing honey, this is a daily facial cream with a unique honey-like texture. The bouncy, hydrating gel cream stretches when patted on, giving skin a massage effect as well as a silky finish. Take a small amount, spread it evenly over you face, and pat it in.
This product was part of the ill-fated Cutiepie Marzia 2 collab box, of which Memebox crazily ordered 5000 and then couldn’t possibly sell that many. Maybe they were drunk on mojitos when they placed the order. They started breaking up the boxes to place the products in other boxes, and the TM Appletox ended up in a few different places. I love the smell of this cream — it’s like standing in an apple orchard in September — but the texture takes some getting used to. It’s very sticky, and I wouldn’t recommend using it in the morning if you plan to wear makeup. It makes a good sleeping pack, though, if you don’t mind the stickiness. Someone on MUT recommended using it as a foot cream with socks, so that’s what I’m going to do, since I have an abundance of face creams.
Verdict: three mojitos: I need a nap
Apple mojito: apples, of course
Although this box doesn’t really meet the curation theme, I love several of the products, so I’m happy I bought it. And now I need a mojito.
Memebox just released a winter masks box, but I don’t have any codes this month that would apply to it.

I love your rating system! 😝
Ha, thank you! I actually love apple mojitos, but they’re more of a summer drink. I’m craving one after typing all that up, though!
Thanks for reading! ❤
