Memebox Review – Scent Box #5: Tropical Fruits

Today I have the second of the most recent scent bundle: Tropical Fruits. I liked this box quite a bit more than the Floral box; it’s probably my favorite of the three.

Memebox is a Korean Beauty mystery box. They generally release new boxes each week; some are themed and others miscellaneous products. All items are Korean, usually lesser-known brands. Boxes range in price (starting usually at $23 USD) and standard shipping (which takes a couple of weeks) is $6.99 USD per box ordered (so if you order two boxes, it’s $13.98 for shipping). Boxes are usually pre-ordered to be shipped at a later date, although they do have some ready to ship now.

Memebox products come packaged in a sturdy pink cardboard box with crumpled tissue paper for padding. The box then comes in either a pink bubblewrap mailer or a shipping box if multiple boxes are shipping at once. The products are usually arranged neatly and are often sealed by the manufacturer.

Boutique Bebe Coconut Pack (100g)
“Entirely made from all-natural extra virgin coconut oil, this is a solid, soap-like facial pack for deep cleansing, treating enlarged pores, and improving skin elasticity and firmness.”

coconut soap

This bar soap smells fantastic! I hate the taste of coconut, but love the smell of it, so this is just lovely. It’s a foaming cleanser in solid bar form, and does a wonderful job of dissolving traces of makeup and gunk left after oil cleansing.

Ladykin Twinklight Soft Foam Cleansing Kiwi (100mL)
“This creamy, foaming, antioxident-rich cleanser gently cleans, nourishes, and hydrates. It deeply purifies and pampers skin, infusing delicate nourishment with natural fruit extracts. This formula is full of youth-restoring antioxidants to strengthen skin and vitamin C to brighten firm, soothe, and nourish skin.”

kiwi cleanser

Another good foaming cleanser with a bright kiwi scent. I’m never going to need to buy cleanser again!

KONAD Niju Mango Moisture Hand Cream (60mL)
“Enriched with organic argan oil, shea butter, olive oil, and vitamin E, it’s effective in soothing, moisturizing, and alleviating various skin troubles.”

mango hand cream

I love the smell of mangos, so this cream is delightful. I know the Konad brand mostly from nail polish and stamping supplies, so it’s nice to have one of their hand care products. I like the non-greasy feel of this lotion, and it feels nice and moisturizing.

KONAD Scented Polish (10mL)
“The scent in this polish lasts up to 7 days after polish application.”

I got the Kiwi scent/color. It’s a bright green with tiny black matte flecks, like kiwi seeds. It’s too bright green for my taste, so I’ll be giving this away to a colleague’s daughter, but it applied evenly, if sheerly. It took three coats for full opacity and still showed some nail line. It definitely smells like fruit, although I only wore it for a few minutes, so I don’t know if it really lasts seven days.

Evas Vitamin Body Wash (200mL)
“Bursting with refreshing, fruity scents, this body wash cleanses your skin gently yet thoroughly, removing all skin impurities and delivering deep hydration all at once. The naturally derived fruit extracts work to soothe and rejuvenate tired, stress-out skin.”

I think this package is an infringement lawsuit waiting to happen, but the wash smells good and foams up nicely to a rich lather. I got the strawberry scent, which is not tropical, but I’m not complaining.

I liked this box much better than the floral, not only for the scents but also the product variation. I still think they could have included even more variety of items, but I’m pretty happy with this box and I’ll use most of the things in it. I’m giving away the nail polish only because I don’t like the color; I still think it’s a good product. I would recommend this box; it’s certainly worth the $15.
