I still do my nails, I swear! I love half moon manis because they’re an elegant look for something so simple.
I used a base of Azature Opal. Azature boasts that it has a real black diamond in every bottle. I can’t believe that’s true, but these polishes have a lovely formula and sparkle. I got several on deep discount during a pre-Christmas sale; they normally retail for $25 but I got them for $6 each. Opal is a very sheer nude with a red shimmer. I was going to leave it like that for an understated look, but then decided to add Deborah Lippmann Lady is a Tramp from the Jazz Standards mini set my MUT Secret Santa gave me. It’s a bold red creme, blue-toned, somewhat sheer and jelly-ish on one coat, so I used two.
I really like how these turned out. But what’s going on with my middle finger? I must be flipping off too many people, because that nail is constantly splitting and peeling. If anyone has any suggestions for how to prevent that, I’d love to hear them.
I’ve been crazy busy (and not feeling well lately), so I have a ton of backlogged posts and pictures to get organized. First, though, I wanted to show off a mani I did using part of the gift my amazing MUT Secret Santa got me!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, whether you celebrated a holiday or not. I was travelling and eating and hanging out with family, so I took a computer break. I have so much to catch up on! This is just a quick swatch of the two mystery bag colors and the special limited edition color of the month from Rainbow Honey’s November mystery bag.

I haven’t posted nail art in so long! It just takes time to do and photograph, and since I mostly do my nails at night, it can be a pain to prep my fingers for photography and figure out decent lighting when all I want to do is nap. But here’s a quick one that I managed to work out yesterday.

Today’s my birthday, so I decided to go ahead and buy myself a gift! Back when Ulta had this set on sale, I purchased it even though I’m clearly drowning in polishes. I love the steampunk aesthetic, and I’m okay with the fashion-size bottles, so even though I own several of these colors already, I wanted to get this set for the new colors and the pretty box they come in, which will make a handy travel case for the holidays. I’ll gift the colors I already own, and then everyone’s a winner!

This is just a quick swatch of the two mystery bag colors and the special limited edition color of the month. I’m still really sick and way behind on grading, so I didn’t do a full review. Also, for the first time, I took pictures at night using an Ottlite, so the color quality is a little variable.

I recently saw this design by All Lacquered Up and wanted to replicate it in autumn colors.

I was cleaning all weekend, and it left me with brittle nails, so when I went to strip my polish and file my nails on Sunday, several of them split. 😦 I decided to cut all of them down and polish the nubs with something neutral until they grow out a little more. Fortunately, Zoya’s got my back, as always.

The Art Walk collection is several cremes in rich autumn colors, a sparkly top coat, and three satin finish colors. Several of the shades are very similar to each other, but I really wanted all of them, because I was craving dark colors. I didn’t want the beauty item in the boxes this month, so I opted for the Polish Lover’s Upgrade plus an add-on.

This is my first shot at doing an argyle design. The stripes are a little wonky, but otherwise, it came out pretty good, I think.
