This is a simple look that I think came out really nicely. I started with a base of butter London’s Cotton Buds, then added dots in Julep Alyssa (turquoise) and Ione (violet).
Cute and cool for the summer heat! What do you think?

The Art Walk collection is several cremes in rich autumn colors, a sparkly top coat, and three satin finish colors. Several of the shades are very similar to each other, but I really wanted all of them, because I was craving dark colors. I didn’t want the beauty item in the boxes this month, so I opted for the Polish Lover’s Upgrade plus an add-on.

This is my first shot at doing an argyle design. The stripes are a little wonky, but otherwise, it came out pretty good, I think.
I didn’t think I’d like textured polish, but I do. Yeah, it’s annoying when washing my hair because the strands get stuck in the texture, but I really like the visual effect of it. My favorite is still Zoya’s Pixie Dusts, but Julep has started coming out with some too.
So what’s better for this weekend’s perigee moon and Perseid meteor shower than a polish that captures the beauty of star-spangled night sky?
Let’s just forget about how awful I am at blogging, okay? ♥

So my town does trick or treating the Saturday before Halloween, and as members of the Board of Trustees for my development, my neighbor and I give out candy and coffee at a station set up in front of our units. I had my face all done up with my new Too Faced A Few of My Favorite Things palette (OMG LOVE IT, OKAY?) and my fingers decorated with Dia de los Muertos sugar skull accent nails.
October’s theme was “Rebel Set,” and once again I splurged on an upgraded box. I didn’t love all the colors, but got more out of the beauty products than I expected, so it turned into a good deal.
I didn’t think I had so many greens, since it’s not a color I like on my nails. I love it in eye makeup and clothing, since I have hazel eyes, but on nails it never looks right to me somehow. But after organizing my collection, I realized I have enough to do a monochromatic color block. This took some time to do, but I really like how it turned out.
